Manhattan Men’s Suit Store Catches Fire

A men’s suit store, located in the heart of Manhattan on W. 34TH street, experienced a disastrous fire that caused extreme hardships for the business owner. The business owner retained United Public Adjusters 3-months after the loss to present, prepare and negotiate the claim on their behalf as the task of starting a claim on their own became too overwhelming. Our team submitted a business personal property claim to the insurance company after securing numerous original invoices that were burnt or had been water damaged once we completed a physical inventory of the non-salvageable contents. Not long after submitting the claim, the carrier’s “Independent Adjuster” came to an agreement with our firm that the loss would settle at policy limits. Then all of a sudden, the carrier denied the claim stating that the business owner didn’t notify them that the business was located within “1,500 feet of landmark or government buildings in high-target terrorism zone”. Our team immediately consulted with our legal counsel and we ultimately achieved coverage. Payments were made to the business owner for the damages and our client could not have thanked our team enough!
