Full Speed Ahead: Team UPA Takes on RPM Raceway Long Island

At United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, we spend our days helping policyholders navigate some of the most stressful situations they will ever face. Whether we’re negotiating complex property damage claims, advocating for homeowners, or supporting business owners through recovery, our work requires teamwork, communication, and trust.

That’s why taking time to strengthen those connections outside the office is so important.

Recently, our team traded claim files for helmets and headed to RPM Raceway Long Island for an afternoon of high-speed fun, friendly competition, and team building. While the setting was different from our usual day-to-day, the same spirit that drives our company was on full display.

A Different Kind of Race

RPM Raceway gave our team the chance to step away from the phones, emails, inspections, and meetings and enjoy some healthy competition together. From the moment the races began, everyone was fully invested in claiming bragging rights and posting the fastest lap times of the day.

Some team members quickly proved they had hidden racing talents, while others discovered that driving a go-kart at top speed requires a little more skill than expected. Regardless of where everyone finished on the leaderboard, there was plenty of laughter, encouragement, and memorable moments throughout the day.

The outing reminded us that some of the strongest workplace relationships are built when people have the opportunity to connect outside of their normal roles and responsibilities.

Why Team Building Matters

The work we do as public adjusters is built on collaboration. Every claim requires communication between adjusters, appraisers, support staff, and leadership. The stronger our internal relationships are, the better we can serve the property owners who trust us during difficult times.

Events like our RPM Raceway outing help reinforce those connections. They allow us to celebrate wins together, build camaraderie, and create an environment where people genuinely enjoy working alongside one another.

When teams communicate well and trust each other, everyone benefits—including our clients.

Celebrating Our Podium Finishers

Of course, no trip to the racetrack would be complete without recognizing the drivers who found their way to the top of the leaderboard.

Taking home first place was Co-Founder Mike Maltaghati, who navigated the course with precision and consistency to earn the top spot and the ultimate bragging rights for the day. Mike’s performance proved that leadership and competitive spirit go hand in hand.

Coming in a close second was Ethan Budhu, who kept the pressure on throughout the races and delivered an impressive performance from start to finish.

Rounding out the podium in third place was Nick Bladoni, whose determination and steady driving earned him a well-deserved spot among the day’s top finishers.

Congratulations to all three racers for putting on a great performance and giving everyone something to chase on the track.

More Than Just a Day Out

While there was certainly plenty of competition on the track, the real value of the day was spending time together away from the demands of work. It was an opportunity to recharge, share a few laughs, and strengthen the culture that makes United Public Adjusters such a special place to work.

Our company has always believed that great service starts with great people. Investing in our team helps ensure we continue delivering the high level of advocacy, professionalism, and support that our clients expect from us.

Looking Ahead

The checkered flag may have come down at RPM Raceway, but the energy and team spirit from the day are something we’ll carry back into the office.

We’re proud of the team we’ve built at United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, and we’re always looking for opportunities to strengthen those relationships both on and off the clock.

Congratulations to everyone who hit the track, with a special nod to our podium finishers—Mike Maltaghati, Ethan Budhu, and Nick Bladoni—for leading the pack. Until the next outing, we’ll keep doing what we do best: working together to help our clients get back on track after property damage losses.
