United Public Adjusters & Appraisers (UPA), a leading New York public adjuster firm, was proud to take part in a recent Madison Square Boys & Girls Club board of directors meeting, where the Club’s talented young musicians delivered a live performance that filled the room with music and inspiration. As a member of the Club’s board of directors, UPA CEO and Co-Founder Philip Maltaghati joined fellow board members, community leaders, and supporters in celebrating the achievements of these young artists and the organizations that make their growth possible.
Young Musicians Take Center Stage at Madison Square Boys & Girls Club
The Club’s young musicians took the floor and performed live, singing and playing violin with a confidence and joy that captured the attention of everyone in the room. For those in attendance, the performance was a powerful reminder of what these kids are capable of when they are given the tools, the guidance, and the stage to shine. What began as a routine board meeting quickly became an unforgettable moment that highlighted the very purpose behind the Club’s mission and the partners who help carry it forward.
Honoring the Daisy Jopling Music Mentorship Foundation
Among the organizations responsible for nurturing this talent is the Daisy Jopling Music Mentorship Foundation. Led by world-renowned violinist Daisy Jopling, the foundation brings together accomplished musicians with students of every level to teach, inspire, and mentor them, including the Ovation Strings violin program that serves young people at the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club. Its work gives children access to world-class instruction and the kind of mentorship that shapes both musicians and confident young individuals.
Recognizing the Bronx School for Music
UPA also proudly recognizes Philip Kwoka, President and Founder of the Bronx School for Music. Kwoka founded the school to give children across the borough access to affordable, high-quality instrumental and vocal instruction in a space built entirely around the students it serves. His dedication continues to open doors for young people who might otherwise never have the opportunity to discover and develop their musical gifts. A heartfelt thank you goes to both the Daisy Jopling Music Mentorship Foundation and to Philip Kwoka for the incredible work they do mentoring the next generation of artists, opening doors to music, creativity, and confidence that will stay with them for life.
Philip Maltaghati on Investing in Youth and Community
Philip Maltaghati, CEO and Co-Founder of United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, expressed pride in the company’s involvement and his role on the Club’s board.
“Watching these young musicians perform was one of the most rewarding moments I have had as a member of this board,” said Maltaghati. “The talent and confidence on display reflect the incredible work being done every day to give these kids opportunities they may not have otherwise. At UPA, we believe that strong communities are built by investing in our young people, and we are honored to support the programs and mentors who make moments like this possible.”
How UPA Advocates for Policyholders Across New York
As a trusted New York public adjuster, UPA understands firsthand the importance of standing up for the people and communities it serves. The firm has built its reputation by advocating for policyholders during complex insurance claims involving fire damage, water damage, storm losses, business interruption, structural issues, and other major property losses. Unlike insurance company adjusters who represent the carrier’s interests, UPA works exclusively on behalf of homeowners, commercial property owners, co-op and condo boards, and businesses to help maximize settlements and streamline the claims process. That same commitment to advocacy extends well beyond the claims process and into the communities UPA is proud to call home.
UPA Continues Its Commitment to Strengthening Local Communities
For United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, taking part in this celebration reinforced the company’s dedication to the people and neighborhoods it serves every day. Supporting young people and the organizations that invest in them is part of who UPA is and a value the company carries into everything it does. To these amazing young stars, you blew us away. Keep playing, keep singing, and keep dreaming big. As a leading New York public adjuster, UPA remains committed to protecting policyholders, supporting local communities, and helping the next generation reach its full potential.
