Background & Experience
Ethan Budhu is a Licensed Public Adjuster with United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Inc., licensed in New York. He brings a strong analytical background to the claims process, with particular experience in data analysis, quantitative problem-solving, and detailed financial review.
A graduate of Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Ethan developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking, modeling, and complex problem-solving. Prior to entering public adjusting, he also helped teach mathematics to students at Suffolk County Community College, strengthening his ability to break down technical information and communicate it clearly and effectively.
Role & Expertise
At United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Ethan supports the preparation and analysis of residential and commercial property claims. His work includes reviewing claim files, organizing and analyzing supporting documentation, preparing detailed expense recaps, identifying relevant financial information, and assisting the adjusting team with the documentation and presentation of claims.
His mathematical and quantitative background allows him to approach claims with a highly detail-oriented perspective, particularly when working through large amounts of financial data, expenses, estimates, and other claim-related records.
As part of UPA’s team, he assists with claims involving a variety of property types, including single-family and multifamily residences, commercial properties, hospitality and retail locations, condominiums and co-ops, and other complex properties. He also supports matters involving fire, water, storm, and other property losses while continuing to expand his technical knowledge and field experience.

Ethan approaches each claim with an emphasis on accuracy, organization, and careful analysis. He works closely with UPA’s experienced adjusters, leadership, and other professionals to help ensure that claim documentation is thorough, financial information is clearly presented, and important details are not overlooked.
His ability to work through complex information and identify meaningful patterns makes him a valuable resource in supporting policyholders throughout the claims process.
His combination of quantitative thinking, curiosity, and attention to detail carries into his work at UPA, where he is focused on continuing to develop his expertise while helping policyholders navigate property claims with greater clarity and confidence.
